Kate picked up her first camera when she was 12 years old and what began as a hobby soon turned into a full time passion. She trained using 35mm film and spent hours in the darkroom which gave her an understanding of how best to capture light.

Her first job was as a newspaper photographer where she learnt to tell the stories of the people she met. She now uses the same techniques but in the digital medium. Kate loves shooting weddings and portraits, capturing the images that tell the story of the day.

She travels from her family farm in the West Australian wheatbelt to photograph weddings in diverse locations - from Queensland's beautiful Sunshine coast to WA's historic town of York.
